THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That Ordinance No. 3250, approved August 20, 1914, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended in Section 22, 5ubsection D thereof, by striking and deleting the same, in its entirety, and inserting in lieu and in place thereof the following wordage: "D PROMOTION ELIGIBLES--Promotion eligibles, if any, who are em- ployed i.n th� division to which certi.fication is made, shall have preference in certi.fication in such division, irrespective of their standi.ng on �uch promotion lists; however, this provision shall not apply to eligibles for positions in the professional-admi.nistrative occupational group or eligibles for positions in classes in which experience as a carpenter is qua.li.fying. The term 'divisiont as used in this subsection shall also mean 'department' in all cases where any department is not divided into divisions.
