WI�REAS, the City of Saint Paul, acting thraugh its Valuation Engineer,
has secured an agreement for the purchase of that certain property
described as follaws:
A permanent easement for street and highway purposes on, over, and across
the follo�wing described land;
All of Lot 1, and those parts of Lots 2, 3, and 4, Block 4, Fd,Rice's 4�Ch
Addition, lying Northwesterly of the follawing described line: Be�i.nning
at a point on the East line of Lot 2, 15 feet North of the Southeast
corner of said Lot 2; thence to a point on the South line of said Lot 2,
23 feet West of the Southeast corner oF Lot 2; thence to a point on the
South line of I�ot 3, 76 feet West of the Southeast corner of I,ot 3; thence
to a point on the West line of Lot 4, 18 feet North of the Sauthwest corner
of Lot 4 and there termanating;
Also, those parts of Lots 14, 15,and 16, Block �, Ed�Ri.ce's 4th Addition, '

WFiERF.AS, the property described herein is necessary for the Mississippi Street
Bridge Improvement over Burlington Northern, Ine. right-of-way,as approved by
Fina1 Order, No. 2666�+3, approved January 20, 1976, and the price at which the
property mey be purchased is in the amaunt of $50,300.00, being a fair and
reasonable price for the �ub�ect property according to the appraisal obtained
by the City Valuat�on Engineer; and
WH�REAS, the City Valuation Engineer has reco�nended the purchase of said property
at the price stated above; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the C ouncil of the City of Saint Paul does hereby autho�ize the
purchase of the above described land, and be it
FUR7�iER RFSOLVED, that the proper City off`icials are hereby authoris�d and directed
to pay to Maxrel and Max�orie Hathaway, contract purchasers, and the Treasurer of
Ramsey County the sum of $50,300.00. Said sum to be paid fran PIR Fund Code 60000-
711-000 (Ir-7912), to be reimbursed from M.S.A. F�tnda. The payment to be made upon
the City being f�irnished evidence of good. maxketable title in the a�'oresaid vendors,
and the total payment to be made upon tender by said parties of appro�priate deeds
cor�veying title to said property to the Ci:ty of Saint Paul.
