RESOLVED, that upon execution and delivery of a
release in full to the City in a form approved by the
City Atto�ney, the proper city officers are hereby
authorized and directed to pay out of the Tort Liability
Fund No. 09070-511-000 to: Mary Lindeberg and Howard
Malmon, her attorney, the sum of $350. 00 in full settle-
ment of her claim for damages sustained on or about
February 3, 1975 as more particularly set out in a
communication to the City Council on February 10, 1975.

T0: Members of the City Council
FROM: Edward P. Starr, Assistant City Attorney
Claim against the City of St. Paul by Mary Lindeberg,
claimant, aged 65, tripped and fell over base of
street barricade standing on Public Sidewalk at
corner of 5th and Wabasha Streets . Sustaining
two fractured fingers resulting in medical expenses
of approximately $300. 00 and permanent disability
to her hand. Ut�lities Service Company is paying
�7100. 00 toward a settlement totalling $7�450. 00;
the liability of the City is $350. 00. This office
approves the settlement .
