WHEREAS, the Saint Paul Division of Parks and Recreation holds a liquor license at
Como Lakeside Pavilion; and

WHEREAS, Laws of Minnesota 1997, Chapter 129, Article 1, Section 10, duly adopted
by the City Council pursuant to Minn. Stat. 645.021, permits the City to authorize the use of the
license by persons who have contracted with the city to setl or serve liquor on property owned by
the city and under the jurisdiction of the division with the approval of the Council; and
WHEREAS, Black Bear Crossing, by agreement provides all liquor service far Como
Lakeside Pavilion in 2001; now, therefore be it
RESOLVEb, that Black Bear Crossings may use the Division of Parks and Recreation
license to sell liquor at private rental events at the Como Lakeside Pavilion in 2001 under the
following terms and conditions:

That prudent care will be taken to insure that all sales are made only to person age
21 or over.
That prudent care will be taken to insure that no sales are made to individuals who
are or who appear to be intoxicated.
3. That Black $ear Crossings shall, at all times, comply with the State of Minnesota
and City of Saint Paul statutes, ordinances and regulations pertaining to the sale of
liquor.
2 4. That Black Bear Crossings shall provide liquor liability insuranca in the amount �' . 3 9�
3 of One Million Dollars for the term of their Agreement with the City. A
4 certificate of insurance naming the City of Saint Paul as an additional insured
5 shall be provided to the Division of Parks and Recreation prior to any sale of
6 alcohol.

The City of Saint Paul holds the Liquor license for Como Lakeside Pavilion. Black Bear Crossings operates the Lakeside
Pavilion and holds the Pavilion's banquet room events catering and beverage provision rights. An approved Resolution
by the Saint Paul City Council is necessary for Black Bear Crossings to use the City's License.
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED:
Liquor service will be available to those of age for groups renting the banquet room for private events. The City will
receive revenue from these sales as outlined in the Agreement between the City and Black Bear Crossings. Black Bear
Crossings will reimburse the City for the cost of the license.
