No eligible list is available for the title 14 position to be filled. � will be in a position in the City service under a comparable title for the classification assigned to the 15 2. The vacancy has been posted as prodded in Civil Setvice Rules and Collective Bargaining Agreements. 16 3. A position shall not be filled b a contracted employee(s) for more than 6 months. 17 If a position is expected to las more than 6 months, a Civil Service Exam will be given and scored 18 by the end of the 5�' month. A certified employee would then replace the contract employee at the l9 end of the 6�` month. ao 21 22 23 24 25 26 4. The practice of hiring t�mporary Building Trades workers from the hiring halls will continue and not be affected by an�waiving of the managed competition ordinance. And be it further RESOLVED, that to a oidunnecessary disputes and to enable more effective filling ofvacancies, Union and City representariv s shall meet and establish criteria to be used in determining appropriate use of contracted workers d to develop alternatives to contracting out that would improve the City's ability to recruit and retain e ployees.
