Just five colleges and universities aze home to over tens of thousands of students, faculty,and staff. 3. Tl�e five colleges and universities offer many educational, cultural, and sporting events that attract nearly 5�0,000 visitors each yeaz and aze major traffic generators. 4. 5. � The five colleges and universities generate large volumes of traffic. Many visitors are unfamiliar with the location of the campuses and need directional signs. Many visitors to the colleges and universities travel on I-94 to reach their destination. 7. Directional signage at appropriate exits for Concordia University, College of St. Catherine, Macalester Coliege, Hamline University, and William Mitchell College of vaw will facilitate tra£fic flow and reduce local traffic caused by visitors who are uncertain of the locations. � L'� Signage already exists for the University of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota campus.
