1 WHEREAS, the St. Bernard's Schools continue to provide leadership in the Parish, community
2 and the greater Saint Paul area; and
3 WHEREAS, St. Bemard's Schools have consistently hired staff members and teachers who are
4 committed to developing community building efforts in their teaching and mentoring plans; and
5 WHEREAS, the students who attend St. Bemard's Schools are proud of the bulldog mascot; and
6
7 WHEREAS, the parents, parishioners, alumni and local businesses have joined with the students
8 and staff to develop the School's Colors Day Program, and
9 WHEREAS, the businesses in the North End and South Como Area consider St. Bemard's Parish
10 and Schools vital to the quality of life in the North End area;
11 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul joins in
12 recognizing St. Bernard's Schools and their community building efforts and declare Friday, October 11,
13 1996, SCHOOLS COLORS DAY.

The students and staff inembers of Saint Bernard's
Schools hereby invite your business to participate in
our "School Colors Day" program. We are askinq you and
your empZoyees to �ear our blue and gold
schooZ colors once a month.
Students, staff, parents, parishioners, alumni, and
local businesses sre being asked to do this as a public
displsy of support for our parish community.
We also ask that locaZ businesses like ,yours offer an
incentive to customers wearing Saint Bernard's items on
a "School Colors Day" (Example: buy one, get one free!)
By clearly displaying our flyer and pom pons, our
participants �ill knox that your business i.s a partner
with Saint 8ernard 's, and they ma.y add to your custame=
base and mske a purchase!
