RESOLVED, That th� Cauncil of the City of Saint Paul doea hereby arder that t2�e
abave-described impravement be made, snd the praper City officers are h�reby directed
and �uthorized to proceed with the iunprovement; and be it
FURTHER RE30LVED, That upan the completion of �aid improvement, the proper City
officers shall celculate all expenses incurred therein and shall repart the seme ta

arious neighborhood district councils,business associations,property owners and staff,the Council approved
oth the construction of these systems and their operation by the City on an assessment basis. It is required
hat a public hearing be held each year for botL the estimated operating costs and then the actual operating
osts. The first above-standard lighting system began with the Lowertown system in 1983. These systems hav
'ncreased at a rate of about 2 stems er ear since then.

alternatives, and that the estimeted cost thereof is $5, 364
financed by a��ea�ment� only.
2. That a public hearing be had on aaid improvement on the 9th day of
October, 1996, at 9 :30 o'c2ock P.M. , in the Council Chambers of the City
Hall and Court Hou�e Buildinq in the City of Saint Paul.
3. That notice of said public hesring be given ta the persons and in the
manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of hearing,
the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
