The following are the animals and reasons for their surplus status: A1�TIMALS REASON FOR SURPLUS Two (2) Black-footed penguins Relocation of two Black-footed penguins will provide necessary space to bring in two unrelated penguins recommended for breeding at Como Zoo by the Penguin SSP Two (2)Emperor tamarins Intentionally reproduced for e�ibit and subsequent born: 21 Ju196 relocation and are not targeted as part of the zoo's Emperor tamarin collection. Parents are going to force these offspring out of the family group after the middle of 1997. Two (2)African lions Intentionally reproduced for e�ibit and subsequent born: 11 Oct 96 relocation and are not targeted as part of the zoo's Lion collection. Parents are going to force these offspring out of the family group at the end of 1997. One (1)DeBrazza's monkey Intentionally reproduced for exhibit and subsequent born: 21 Oct 95 relocation and is not targeted as part of the zoo's DeBrazza's monkey collection.
