5 WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council on November 6, 1996 adopted a Resolution
6 under Council File #96-1395 revoking the Taxicab Driver's License (License ID No. 86874)
7 held by William J. Nelson, which was then approved by the Mayor; and
8
9 WHEREAS, said action in adopting the Resolution occurred after the licensee failed to
10 appear at the public hearing scheduled before the City Council on November 6, 1996; and
11
12 WHEREAS, there is reason to believe that William J. Nelson failed to appear at the
13 hearing due to an emergency situation, and it is reasonable under the circumstances to allow
14 him an opportunity to be heard regarding the adverse license against his license; now,
15 therefore, be it

17 RESOLVED, that the Resolution of the Saint Paul City Council in Council File #96-
18 1395 is hereby repealed; and be it
19
20 � FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing is scheduled before the Saint Paul City
21 Council on Wednesday, December 4, 1996 to consider the recommendation for adverse action
22 against the Taxicab Driver's License (License ID No.86874) held by William J. Nelson.
