96-1405 �-� `--, ( �.., e Council File # + �5 � � f � - �..�-� � �. � ' ' � �•� Green Sheet # 3 Q L'4. , RESOLUTION OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA 'I Presented By Referred To Committee: Date 1 2 WHEREAS, the City has the opportunity to secure the services of Ted Gaebler to act 3 as a speaker and facilitator for a day long discussion of the workability and opportunities that 4 can evolve from public and private partnerships formed in pursuit of a variety of enterprises, 5 and 6 7 WHEREAS, Mr. Gaebler's services have been generously offered by Andersen 8 Consulting for availability during the month of November, 1996, and 9 10 WHEREAS, there is a need to solicit funds to offset the hotel and airfare expenses of 11 Mr. Gaebler as well as costs surrounding the event such as facility rental, meals and related 12 ame�ities, now therefore be it, 13 14 RESOLVED, that the administration may solicit contributions to defray expenses 15 attendant to this informative and creative discussion, and 16 17 FURTHER RESOLVED, that any contributions received are accepted as gifts to the 18 City and are appropriated to offset event costs, and 19 20 FINALLY RESOLVED, that appropriate City staff may accept invitations to the event 21 on behalf of the City as it is hereby declared to be for a public purpose in the furtherance of 22 the business of the City.
