272007 WHITE - CITV CLERK � P�NK - FINANCE G I TY OF SA I NT PA LT L Council ��,.,��'��,�r,� CAf�RV - DEPARTMENT BLUE - MAVOR � F1Ie NO. c ' esolution ��� Presented By � � Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date WHEREAS, Elijah Mclntosh, d/b/a Mclntosh Construction Co. , had ma.de application for renewal of a building contractor' s license; and WHEREAS, hearings were held on October 4 and 18, 1978, before the License Committee at which testimony was taken under oath from eleven witnesses and numerous exhibits were received, in relation to allegations of serious improprieties by the appli- cant in conducting his previous business as a contractor; and WHEREAS, the License Committee was of the view that, while the applicant had substantial and serious shortcomings in his previous operations, he should be permitted the opportunity to rectify those errors and be granted a license subject to detailed and specific conditions which would protect the public; and WHEREAS, the applicant has agreed to accept the conditions in order to obtain the license; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the applicant be granted a building contractor license as recommended by the License Committee, subject to the following conditions in addition to the usual requirements of the ordinance: l. The applicant/licensee is to advise the License Inspector of every contract for engaging in work for which the building contractor license is required, before be- ginning any work on such contract; and 2. The applicant/licensee, in addition to the overall bond in the amount of $2,500 required for - the license, is to obtain a separate $2,500 bond or endorsement for each contract for engaging in work for which the building contractor license is required, before beginning any work on such contract; and 4. The applicant/licensee is required to consult with and use the services of a firm of certified public accountants in the conduct of his business affairs; and 5. The applicant/licensee shall consult with � and use the services available to him from M.E.D.A. , an association formed for the purpose of assisting minority contractors; and 6. The applicant/licensee shall cooperate with the License Inspector in furnishing such information as will permit the License Inspector to report to the License Committee on a quaxterly basis for the duration of such license; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the above conditions are expressly imposed in lieu of denying the applicant' s application for a license and/or revoking his existing license, and the failure of the applicant/licensee to comply with the foregoing conditions shall be grounds for the revocation of this license.
