The purpose of this report is to request authorization to execute the conveyance of the Pazcel
near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 to the City of Saint Paul, Department
ofPublic Works.
Background
The Parcel near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 was acquired by the HRA
in May of 1983. This triangular parcel, which measures 144 square feet, is sunounded by a
79,824 square foot Parcel, ID# 1228232400051, owned by the City of Saint Paul, Department of
Public Works. It appears that it was intended to be, but never conveyed from the HRA to Public
Works.
Transaction Information
The HRA will convey the property to the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works
without cost.
Public Purpose
The conveyance of the Parcel near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 will
allow the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works to own the entire pazcel as vacant
right-of-way, which is being used for the new Shepard Road project.
Recommendation

Statement of Chairman
Being duly authorized by the Board of Commissioners to conduct this Public Hearing, the
hearing is now open. This is a Public Hearing called for the proposed disposition of a certain
parcel of land located in the West7th/Fort Road District 9 Area by the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA).
Notice of time, place and purpose of this hearing was published in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press
on Saturday, August 12, 2000. The affidavit of publication of the Notice of Public Hearing will
be made part of these proceedin;s.
The HRA proposes to convey the property in the West7th/Fort Road District 9 Area.
Conveyance of this property will place title in the correct legal entity and will assure that the City
of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works can continue to use it as vacant right-of-way for the

The purpose of this report is to request authorization to execute the conveyance of the Pazcel
near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 to the City of Saint Paul, Department
ofPublic Works.
Background
The Parcel near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 was acquired by the HRA
in May of 1983. This triangular parcel, which measures 144 square feet, is sunounded by a
79,824 square foot Parcel, ID# 1228232400051, owned by the City of Saint Paul, Department of
Public Works. It appears that it was intended to be, but never conveyed from the HRA to Public
Works.
Transaction Information
The HRA will convey the property to the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works
without cost.
Public Purpose
The conveyance of the Parcel near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 will
allow the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works to own the entire pazcel as vacant
right-of-way, which is being used for the new Shepard Road project.
Recommendation

Being duly authorized by the Board of Commissioners to conduct this Public Hearing, the
hearing is now open. This is a Public Hearing called for the proposed disposition of a certain
parcel of land located in the West7th/Fort Road District 9 Area by the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HRA).
Notice of time, place and purpose of this hearing was published in the Saint Paul Pioneer Press
on Saturday, August 12, 2000. The affidavit of publication of the Notice of Public Hearing will
be made part of these proceedin;s.
The HRA proposes to convey the property in the West7th/Fort Road District 9 Area.
Conveyance of this property will place title in the correct legal entity and will assure that the City

1 WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota ("HRA") has

The purpose of this report is to request authorization to execute the conveyance of the Pazcel
near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 to the City of Saint Paul, Department
ofPublic Works.
Background
The Parcel near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 was acquired by the HRA
in May of 1983. This triangular parcel, which measures 144 square feet, is sunounded by a
79,824 square foot Parcel, ID# 1228232400051, owned by the City of Saint Paul, Department of
Public Works. It appears that it was intended to be, but never conveyed from the HRA to Public
Works.
Transaction Information
The HRA will convey the property to the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works
without cost.
Public Purpose
The conveyance of the Parcel near James Avenue and Duke Street, ID# 122823240043 will
allow the City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works to own the entire pazcel as vacant

Being duly authorized by the Board of Commissioners to conduct this Public Hearing, the
