WHEREAS, The 1977 Aggregate Sales Ratio for real properties
in the City of Saint Paul as determined by the Minnesota Department
of Revenue has been determined to be 73.8 percent; and
WI�REAS, The said Sales Ratio as determined by the Saint Paul
Council Research Bureau is substantially in excess of this figure;
and
WHEREAS, This difference in Sales Ratio figures makes a con-
siderable difference in Local Government Aid available to the City
of Saint Paul; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the City Attorney and the Council Research
Bureau are hereby authorized and directed to take all steps as are
reasonable and necessary to object to and appeal the determination
of the 1977 Aggregate Sales Ratio by the Department of Revenue to
the Commissioner of Revenue and to the courts of proper jurisdic-
tion in order that the City of Saint Paul will receive its proper
share of Local Government Aids.
