WHEREAS, The Council of the City of Saint Paul, by resolution Council
File 179326, adopted August 23, 1956, did vacate the north 1 foot of the
west 40.25 feet of the east-west alley in Block 2, The Strand Addition,
adjacent to Lot 15 tn said Block 2, subject to the condition that the vaca-
tion be limited to a date 30 years from the resolution or the life of the
existing building, whichever is the earlfer date; and
WHEREAS, The present owner of this property has asked that the Council
extend the life of the above-described vacation beyond the original 30 year
period, so as to extend it to the tife of the existing building, whichever
is the longer, and there is no opposition to this request from any city
department; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the Cauncil of the City of Saint Paul dces hereby amend
resolution Council File 179326 so as to provide that the vacation of the
portion of pubiic alley ad,jacent to Lot 15, Block 2, The Strand Addition be
limited to the life of the existing building located on said Lot 15, said
conditio� to preclude mir�or repairs and alterations, but to exclude major
repairs and alterations during the life of the vacation.
