An Administrative Resolution amending the Civil
Service Rules to change the requirements for
appointment above the minimum salary.
WHEREA5, it is appropriate and desirable to amend the Civil
Service Rules to change the requirements for appointment above the
minimum salary; now, therefore, be it
RE50LVED, that the Civil Service Rules be amended in Section
8 A 5 thereof, so that said Section 8 A 5 shall read;
"5 Appointment may be made to a �raded po sition �a�ry-e�#�ke
el�s��.x-Se�c.�.ex-b o#-t�i�e�e-�es at any of the current sala��
Steps A�-t��g��j except lon evit ste s prescribed by the
Council_ €o-��k.e-�l.ars-s���id�1.3 However, t,k� if appointment
is made at a salary step reauirin� more experience k�Y�rthan
the appointee has acquired in eet��ia�e-a�ta.3�e�.i�-�i�s employ-
ment i���io�s- outside #1ie City Service in positions equivalent
to the c�las�position to which he/she is bein� kas��� appointedZ
i��kke-+6i#�r-Se�v� then all other C� employees holding t�i$the
same title ��e-G�.t,�y-Se�vi�e� shall also be given creditr-��-td�e�
ga�pese�f- for the same len�th of unearned experience in deter-
