WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 473.813 authorizes political subdivisions of
, the State of Minnesota to enter into contracts for solid waste disposal
without competitive bids, and by direct negotiations ar�d,
WHEREAS, the City is currently maintaining a wood chipping operation at
Pig's Eye Lake and is desirous of utilizing the wood chips as an energy
saving alternative fuel source, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract
with Wolf and Associates, Inc. , a Minnesota corporation, for the purpose of
producing 800 tons of a specified elm wood product in the furtherance of an
experimental test burn; the results of the test burn to provide future information
as to the feasibility and economy of using elm wood chips as a fuel source.
