and class specifications in the Civil Service Rules.
WHEREAS, it is appropriate and desirable to establish the new titles
of Swimming Pool Supervisor and Senior Pool Attendant in the Ungraded
Division of the Civil Service Rules and Class Specifications for said titles;
now, the refo re, be it
RESOLVED, that the Civil Service Rules be amended in Section 7
thereof, under the heading "5pecial Employments" by inserting, in proper
aiphabetical order, the new titles of Swimming Pool Supervisor and Senior
Pool Attendant; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Civil Service Rules be further amended
in Section 49 thereof by inserting, in proper alphabetical order, the attached
Class Specifications for the titles of Swimming Pool Supervisor and 5enior
Pool Attendant.

General Statement of Duties: Performs and supervises the work involved in
operating a public swimming pool; and performs related duties as required.
Sugervision Received: Works under the admix�istrative direction of a unit
or division head.
Supervision Exercised: Exercises supervision directly over clerks, attendants
and other employees assigned to the operation.
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED
The listed examples may not include all duties performed by all positions in
this class.
Assigns and schedules employees including Life Guards and Water Safety
Instructors.
Supervises the serving of foods, drinks, and other articles to patrons.
Supervises the work of employees at the counter. _
Balances cash and prepares daily reports.
Orders supplies.
Makes out time reports.
Orders all merchandise for the refectory and checks the receipt of
merchandise.
Checks cash and cash registers and be responsible far same.
Prepares bank deposits.
Takes the necessary inventories.
Prepares necessary stand reports and time reports.
Instructs new employees.
Performs the duties of a Life Guard when necessary.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to supervise employees and to deal with the public.
Some knowledge of inventory and record keeping.
Ability to handle cash receipts.
MINI*1IJM QUALIFICATIONS
Fifteen hundred hours of experience as a Life Guard, Water Safety Instructor
or equivalent; or five hundred hours of experience as a Senior Pool Attendant
or equivalent.
