WHEREAS, the City Council did approve the preparation and submission of
the application for an Urban Development Action Grant for the Seventh Place
Project on January 31 , 1978, Council File No. 270480; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize and direct the Mayor to submit
said Urban Development Action Grant application to the Department of Housing
and Urban Development in such form as prescribed by the regulations of said
Department; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved said
Urban Development Action Grant application in the amount of $4.8 million as
stated in the attached letter from said Department to Mayor George Latimer;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby accept
the Urban Development Action Grant from the Department of Housing and Urban
Development for the Seventh Place Project; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are authorized and directed
to execute the contract between the City of Saint Paul and the Department of
Housing and Urban Development for the Urban Development Action Grant for the
Seventh Place Project.
