WHEREAS, the Model Cities Health Center is providing a worthwhile service
to the resi dents of the Surr�ni t-Uni versi ty Corr�nuni ty; and
WHEREAS, the Model Cities Health Center's funding from the Department of
Housing and Urban Development has been terminated; and
WHEREAS, the Saint Paul City Council rccognizes the need to continue providing
community-based health care services in the Sumnit-University area; now, therefore,
be i t
RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes and directs the Mayor
to prepare and submit an application to the Department of Health, Education, and
Welfare for Urban Health Initiatives grant funding for the Model Cities Health
Center in such form as prescribed by the regulations of said department; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed
to provide the Department of Health, Education and Welfare with such Assurances
and Certifications as may be required.
