WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution, C. F. No. 271413, appro�ed J�aly i2,
1978 , a public hearing was duly held on July 20, 1978 before the Council
of the City of Saint Paul, said hearing pertaining to the cond3�fon of
the structures located at 912 Edgerton, S�int Paul, Minnesota= and
WHEREA3, upon the �acts present�d at ths �aid hearing consisting of
photographs, inspection reports and th� Yecc�t�endations of the Building
Departmant, it ia found and detarmined by the City Council that accord-
ing to the records and files in th� offica 4t the Regiatar of Dea�s. the
last fae owner of the above desartbe�d prr�tpe��p- �����J[�g�.^L'�', I6�5
Cumberland, S�. Paul, MN; that Faith F. Gartner i� contract for deed
purchaser; that Ambrose Czech, c/o Dennis Peck, attorney at law, 1I46
Rice St., St. Panl, MN 55117 has an unrecorded interestr and that it
is further determinad that the above described building c�nstitutes a
hazardous building within the definition of Minnasota Statutes Saction
463.15 for .the following reasons:
a. The sub�ect praparty has been boarded up by tha owner
since June 22, 1977s

b. Because of age, detarioration, lack of propex maintenance
and fire damage this building eons�itates a public hazard;
c. The owner has failed to provide a plan for the rehab ilitatioa
or wrecking of this building;
d. The owner haa made no attempt ta sati�factorily rapair the
damage;
e. The continued' vacant and boarded up condition contributes a
blighting influence on the neighborhood;
now, therefo�e, be it
RESOLVED, That in accoxdance with Minnesota S�atutes Sections
463.15 through 463.26, and based upon the foregoing findings of the City
Council, the Cot�ncil of the City Qf Saint Paul does hereby make tha
following Order:
ORDER
1. The owner of the above deaeribed bnilding �hall make the
same safe and not detrimental to the public peace, health, safaty and
welfare by having the said building razed and the materials thexefrom
removed �rotn the premises within thirty (30) daye from tha date ot tha
se�vice of this Order;
2. Unless sueh corrective action is taken to comply with this
Order or an answar served upon the City oF Saint Paul and filed in the
Office of the Clark of the nistrict Court of Ramsey Countp, M inneso�a
within twenty (20) days from the date of the sarvice of this Order a

Motion for Summary Enforcement of this Order to raze and remove the
said building will be made to the Ramsep County District Courtf
3. In the avent that the bnilding is t4 be razed by the City of
Saint Paul pursuant to judgmant of th� Distriet Court, aIl pezsonal
property or fixtures of any kind which may unreaeonably interfere with
the razing and removal of this building shall be removed within ten
(10) days from the entry of �udgment; and if not so removad, the City
of Saint Paul shall remove and dispose of s�tch pers�nal p=operty and
fixtures as provided by lawf
4. If the City of Saint Paul is �ompelled to take any car=active
action he�ein, all necassary coats expended by the City will be assessed
against the above described real estate and aollectad as other taxes ;

WHEREAS, the Division of Housing and Building Code Enforcement has
requested the City Council to hold a public hearing to consider the
advisability and necessity of the correction or wrecking and removal of
the following described building, said structure having been reported to
constitute a pizblic hazard: �
912 Edgerton Lot 27 , Block 26, The building is a 2 1/2
Chas. Weide's Sub. story single family
Blocks 25 & 26 of residence of wood frame
Arlington Hills Addition construction.
WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record �wners and other parties
of interest of said building are as follows:
1. Fee Owner: Mark Meggitt, 912 Edgerton Street, St. Paul, MN 55101.
2. Contract Purchaser: Faith F. Gartner, 912 Edgerton Street,
St. Paul, NIN 55101. .
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before
the Council of the City of Saint Paul in the Council Chamber of the Court
House in said city at 10: 00 'A.M. on July 20, 1978 to consider the
advisability and necessity of ordering the correction or wrecking and
removal of said structure on the above described property inasmuch as said
structure is reported to constitute a hazard to public health, safety and
welfare; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Division of I3ousing and Building Code
Enforcement, on behalf of the City Council, notify by mail the record owners
of the property in question at the last known address, as well as other
interested persons of record, of the date and time of the hearing.
