WHEREAS, The St. Paul Civil Service Commission is presently making
an investigation to determine the proper classification of the librarian technician
series i.n the Civil Service system; and
WHEREAS, The Civil Service Commission has indicated that they desire the
results and recommendations of their study to become effective as soon as possible;
and
WHEREAS, The Civil Service Commission has further indicated by approval
of this Resolution that they desire their recommendation concerning this study to
be effective retroactively to the date of Council approval of this Resolution of intent;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That i.f the Council of the City of Saint Paul ultimately approves
the recommendations of the Civil Service Commission submitted to the Council
pursuant to the above described study, it is the intent of the Council that these
recommendations shall be effective retroactively to the date of the beginning of
the next payroll period following approval of this Resolution.

The Civi1 Service Commission has directed that a study be made of the library
techniciaa series by the Persorinel Office.
This Resoltttion, prepared at the request of the Civil'.Service Commissioa, directs
