WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul, by City Council Resolution
No. 269429 dated July 19, 1977, approved a Redevelopment Plan
for Community Development, CD Yr. III, which Redevelopment Plan
is contained in and made a part of the City's Federally approved
Community Development Grant Program; and
WHEREAS , pursuant to the above Redevelopment Plan, the City
Council, by Final Order No. 270934 dated April 26, 1978, directed
and authorized its officers to acquire, for the purpose of pro-
viding emergency housing for migrants to be operated by Migrants
in Action, the following described real property: _
The East ninety (90) feet of Lots Six (6) and Seven �, � � `� �-
Block Fifty-seven (57) , West St. Paul, according to the
plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the 'r
Register of Deeds in and for said County and State; �-
and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Autharity of Saint Paul
has agreed to enter into a Contract For Sale of Land for Redevelop-
ment by a Public Body with the City providing for the purchase
by the City from the Authority for Twenty-nine Thousand Dollars
and No Cents ($29,000.00) the above described proper ty under terms
and conditions set forth in said contract; and
WHEREAS, the contract provides that the City would purchase
the above proeprty and then lease same to Migrants in Action, who
will improve the property in accordance with that certain City
Inspection Report dated November 16, 1977; and

WHEREAS, Migrants in Action has requested perrnission of the
City and the Authority to sub-lease the property to Migrants
Housing Development, Inc. , a corporation that exists to provide
housing services to migrants.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the City Council of the
City of Saint Paul does hereby authorize and direct the proper
City officers to execute on behalf of the City that certain
Contract For Sale of Land For Redevelopment by a Public Body
substantially in the form on file in the City Attorney's Office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, said City officers are hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City an agree-
ment with the Authority which would a11ow the property to be
sub-let to Migrants Housing Development, Inc.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, said City officers are hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City a Lease
Agreement between the City and Migrants in Action which would
allow Migrants in Action to sub-lease the property wi th written
consent of the City and Authority as provided in the Contract
for Land Redevelopment by a Public Body.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the agreed upon purchase price
of $29 ,000.00 herein mentioned shall be paid from Community
Development Block Funds, Code 39204-xxx-096.

sub-leasing.
