WHEREAS, the License Corr�nittee deals on a regular basis with
the location of bars, saunas and other adult entertainnrent establish-
ments, and
WHEREAS, at the last License Corrmittee meeting representatives
of the Thomas-Dale neighborhood requested the Committee develop
distance and density requirements for these kinds of facilities, and
WHEREAS, other neighborhoods have expressed support for this
approach in the past, and
WHEREAS, there is growing evidence that a proliferation of adult
entertainment establishments in any one neighborhood is debilitating
� to that neighborhood, and
WHEREAS, it is not legally possible to legislate certain adult
entertainment establishments out of existence, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable and necessary that citizens be involved
in this process, now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the License Corr�nittee work with representatives of
District Councils to develop a workable ordinance that will protect
neighborhoods from the blighting influence of over saturation of adul�
entertainment establishments.
