subject to the approval of the Commissioner of Transportation of the State
of Minnesota;
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to forward two certified copies of this resolution to the Commissioner
of Transportation for his consideration.

ACTION REQUESTED:
Approval of two Council Resolutions.
1. Revoking certain streets as Municlpal State Aid Streets. �
2. Oesignating; certain streets as Municipal State Aid Streets. � .
PURPOSE AND RATIONAL� FOR THIS ACTION: �
The rede'v,elopment of Downtown St. Paul has created saareral revisio�s t� �
the street system t►ea� the Civic Center and further changes will be made
as part pf the Seventh Place Development. In addition� the rules for
State Aid designations as well as the design standards have changed.
This activity has caused us to thoroughly review the existing Networ�
of Municipal State Ald Streets. The revisions are necessary to reflect
the current condittons. This approval is for route changes only and
does not approve any construction projects.
