WHEREAS, Danny Witt is the holder of a Game Room License for
the premises at 117-119 West Sixth Street in the City of Saint
Paul; and
WHEREAS, the License Inspector recommended revocation of the
said license, by letter dated Ma.y 15, 1978, delivered by hand to
the premises and sent certified mail, on the following grounds:
" 1 Failure to cooperate with police
2 Allowing assaults and brawls _
3 Allowing curfew violators to rema.in on the
premises
4) Allowing runaways to rema.in on premises
5) Allowing law violators to remain on the
premises
(6) Allowing consumption of alcoholic beverages
by juveniles on premises
(7) Allowing selling, possession and smoking of
ma.r i j uana on pr emi s e s
(8) Failure to provide adequate supervision of
patrons inside and directly outside premises and allow-
ing patrons to harass other peers
(9 Allowing gambling on premises
�10 Allowing solicitation to vice on premises
lI Allowing patrons. to illegally park in front .
of premises.";
and
GIEIEREAS, Mr. Witt appeared at the hearing before the License
Committee on Ma.y 31, 1978, and elected to proceed without an attorney,
despite a detailed inquiry into that choice by the Committee; and

WHEREAS, the Cori�nittee received one exhibit, and heard sworn
testimony from Joseph Carchedi, License Inspector; Kenneth R. Faust,
Daniel J. Cermak, Michael R. Morehead, all Saint Paul Police Officers;
whereupon the licensee Danny Witt stated his desire to "turn in" his
license without further hearing of evidence, on the basis that he
admitted that he could not alone control the kids or the violations
that were occurring in and about the premises of the game room; and
WHEREAS, Beryl Nord, Assistant City Attorney, advised the
License Coc�nittee of the nature of further testimony which would
have been received relative to violations and the above grounds,
relative to runaways, narcotics violations, alcohol problems, gambling,
vice violations, and lack of supervision on the premises; and the
licensee having heard the additional ma.tters re-stated his desire
not to proceed further'but to give up his license; and
WHEREAS, the License Committee, on the basis of the evidence
received under oath from the witnesses, the admission and intention
of the licensee to give up the license, and upon the offer of
proof of counsel for the License Inspector, voted 3-0 to revoke the
said license; and
WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution as proposed has been ma.iled
to the licensee; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Game Room License held by Danny Witt for
' the premises at 117-119 West Sixth Street in Saint Paul is hereby
revoked and denied in all respects.
