WHEREAS , The Council of the City of Saint Paul approved a
lease agreement with Women' s Advocates, a Minnesota rionprofit
corporation whereby the City would acquire the premises at 584
Grand Avenue, Saint Paul, with Community Development Block Grant -
funds, the premises to be occupied and used by Women' s Advocates
for the purpose of providing emergency housing, the said lease
agreement providing that the property could be acquired at the
expiration of the lease term for the sum of $1. 00; and
WHEREAS, It has now been determined that the City is permitted
by regulations of the Housing and Urban Development Department to
donate the property to Women' s Advocates, anc� further that there
is no need for the City to retain ownership of the property; now,
therefore, be it �
RESOLVED,. That the Council does hereby approve the termination
of the existing lease agreement with Women' s Advocates and the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute
and deliver quit claim deed conveying the City's interest to that
property described as 584 Grand Avenue, legally described as '
Lot 6, Block 5, Terrace Par)� Addition to the City of Saint Paul,
for the sum of $1. 00.
