BE IT RESOLVED, That taxicab service is essential to the
welfare of the citizens of the City of Saint Paul, and that
St. Paul Yellow Cab Co. , Inc. is one of the cab companies duly
licensed by the City of Saint Paul to provide this public service
and that the income from local cartage carrier service is re-
quired to supplement direct passenger revenue in order for
St. Paul Yellow Cab Co. , Inc. to be in a position to continue
to provide this essential public service in the City of Saint
Paul, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and to continue
as one of the City' s larger employers.

I would like to call youx attention to a resolution whi�ch was adopted
1�y the Saint Paul City Council today, May 11, 1978, a copy of which is
enclosed. �
I believe it is in the best interest of Saint Paul that the services
of the Yellow Cab Company be continued and maintained, and therefore,
urge your approval of the Yellow Cab Company's application for local
cartage carrier authority. ,
