and Fixing Tim� of Hearing on the Award File No. 17962-S
of Damages
In the matter of condemniug and taking an easement in the land necessary for
the slopes, cuts and fills, including right of removal of lateral support
from subject land or remainder thereof, occasioned by excavations thereof
or construction of slopes in the process of constructing new sidet�ralk on
portions of both sides of WESTMINSTER ST. from Maryland Ave. to Larpenteur Ave.
Also, taking a narrow strip of right-of-way on the east side of Westminster
St. from Maryland Ave. to 1178 ft. north as follows:
Those parts of Lot 15, Block 3, Jaggard's Add. to St. Paul, Lots 1, 2 and 3
Clarke's Subd. of Lots 4 & S, J. W. Bass' Acre Lots; Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 12
and 13 of Weinand Add; and Lots 11, 18, 19, 26 and 27, except north 75 ft. of
said Lot 27, J. W. Bass' Acre Lots lying westerly of a line 30 feet easterly of
and parallel to the west line of the SW�, Section 20, Township 29N, Range 22W

�'he Director of Finance having submitted his report in the above matter as to the amount of damages awarded
for the taking of the land or easements therein appropriated for the above improvement and to whom payable; and
, also having submitted his assessment of benefits to property from the making of said improvement, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the said assessment of benefits be and the same is hereby approved.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That a public hearing be had before the Council upon said report and for a confirmation
of the award of damages made by the Director of Finance and also upon the said assessment of benefits; at the Council
Chamber, in the Court House in the City of St. Paul on the �eAty fourth day of
Oetober, 1978 , at ten dclock A.M., and that the Director of Finance be and
he is directed to give notice of said hearing as prescribed by the Charter.
