An ordinance to amend Chapter 329 of the
Legislative Code to provide for a 50� li-
cense fee for dogs owned by senior citizens.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITX OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN:
Section l.
Section 329.02 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
329.02. License Required. Al1 dogs kept or
maintained by their owner within the corporate limits
of the City of Saint Paul shall be licensed and regis-
tered if over three (3) months of age. Dog licenses
shal]. be issued by the office of the City Clerk upon pay-
ment of an annual license fee of $3.00 for each dog,
whether it be male or female (spayed or unspayed) . How �
everf it the owner of the dog is 62 veazs of acre or older, -
the annual license fee paYable for each doq is fifty cents
50� . Such license shall continue in force until the first
day of March ne�t succeeding the date of its issuance. The
owner shall state at the time application is made for such i
license, and upon printed forms provided for such purpose, �
his name and address and the breed and sex of each dog i
owned or kept by him. The provisions of this chapter shall '
not be intended to apply to dogs whose owners are now resi�-
dents temporarily within the City, nor to dogs brought into
the City for the purpose of participating in any dog show;

ing from place to place.

Section 2.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30)
days fsom and after its passage, approval and publication.
