WHEREAS, §293.11 provides for the granti of variances from
the sound level limitations contained in �29 .09, upon a finding
by the City Council that full compliance wi Chapter 293 would
constitute an unreasonable hardship on an pplicant, other
persons or on the community; and
WHEREAS, On Campus Booking, repre ented by Lance Hughes,
President, who has been designated as the responsible person on
the application, has applied for a v riance to allow live and
amplified music at the Imperial Pa ing Lot at the intersection
of Eagle and Exchange Streets, on arch l, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 22, 23
and 24, 2001; and
WHEREAS, applicant is see ing a variance for the hours of
7:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on e h of the dates; and
WHEREAS, if applicant s not granted a variance it will not
be able to present the liv and amplified music; and
WHEREAS, the Offic of License, Inspections, and
Environmental Protecti has reviewed the application and has
made recommendations garding conditions for the variance; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, tha the Council of the City of Saint Paul. hereby
grants a variance o On Campus Booking, subject to the following
conditions:
1) The riance shall be for the hours of 7:00
p.m to 10:30 p.m. on March 1, 2, 3, 8, 9,
10 22, 23 and 24, 2001.
2) 1 electronically powered equipment used in
conjunction with the event shall not exceed
95 dBA as measured £rom the wall of the
enclosure located opposite from the stage.

3) The applicant shall provide personnel and
equipment who shall provide continuous sound
level monitoring between 7:00 p.m. and 10:30
p.m_ on each of the dates to ensure
compliance with Condition #2•
4) All electronically powered equipment, PA
systems, loudspeakers or similar devices
shall be turned off no later than 10:30 p.m.
on each of the dates.
FURTHER RESOLVBD, that any violation of the co itions set
forth above on any of the dates may result in revo ation of the
grant of a variance for any of the subsequent da s set forth
above, in addition to any criminal citation wh'ch might issue.
