RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a
release in full to the City, in a form to be approved
by the City Attorney, the proper City officers are
hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the Tort
Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
1. William R. DeMarre the sum of $417.70 in full
settlement of his claim of damages sustained on
or about October 23, 1978, as more particularly
set out in a communication to the City Council
on November 9, 1978.
2. Sam Simmons the sum of $300.00 in full settle-
ment of his claim of damages sustained on or
about May 23, 1978, as more particularly set out
in a communication to the City Council on June 27,
1978.
3. Kerry P. Johnson the sum of $423.44 in full
settlement of his claim of damages sustained on
or about September 29 , 1978, as more particularly
set out in a communication to the City Council
on October 19, 1978.
4. Larry Lund the sum of $83.40 in full settlement
of his claim of damages sustained on or about
August 12, 1978, as more particularly set out in
a communication to the City Council on October 3,
1978.

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAISNT CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY WILLIAM R. DeMARRE, SAM SIMMONS,
AND KERRY P. JOHNSON
Claimant, William R. DeMarre, requests reimbursement for damages
to the windows in his automobile which were damaged when City of
Saint Paul, Department of Public Works, crews were working in
the area of 1015 Edgerton. They were using an air hose and bits
of rock and sand hit the windows in the automobile and pitted
them. This office approves the settlement of Mr. DeMarre's claim
in the amount of $217.70.
Claimant, Sam Simmons, requests reimb ursement for prope r�y damaged
when City of Saint Paul, Department of Public Works, crews were
flushing out the sewer system in the area of 1666 Wanda Street.
This work caused the sewer to back up into Mr. Simmons ' home.
This office approves the settlement of Mr. Simmons' claim in
the amount of $300.00.
Claimant, Kerry P. Johnson, was involved in an automobile acci-
dent with a City of Saint Paul , Department of Police, vehicle
on September 29 , 1978, near Grotto and Grand Avenue . Expenses
are for the repair of the damaged vehicle. This office approves
the settlement of Mr. Johnson's claim in th e amount of $423. 44.
Claimant, Larry Lund, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul, Department of Police vehicle on
August 12, 1978, near 160 East Acker. Expenses are for the
repair of the damaged vehicle. This office approves the settle-
ment of Mr. Lund's claim in the amount of $83 .40 .
