WHEREAS, there are numerous occasions when the recorr�nendations of the
License Corrr�nnittee are questioned, and
WHEREAS, whenever a matter is discussed again at length at City Council
meetings or referred back to the License Corrrannittee there is a duplication
and/or repetition of effort on the part of committee members, License Inspector,
attorneys, court reporters, etc. , and
WHEREAS, delays in license transfers often mean money and jobs, and
WHEREAS, the time lapse between committee meetings and Council meetings
often leads to efforts to persuade the Council to alter corr�nittee recorrmendations,
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that in order to carry out a more efficient, timely and less
costly licensing procedure the Council will hold an official council meeting
9:00 A.M. each Wednesday morning to consider any and all licensing matters;
and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Attorney is requested to draft appropriate
changes in the Administrative Code, Legislative Code, and Council Rules to carry
out this Resolution.
