WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 473.813 authorize�$ political subdivisions to contract
for the processing of solid waste without competitive bidding, providing such
contracts are approved by the governing body of the political subdivision, and
WHEREAS, The Department of Community Services has recommended purchasing
equipment for the purpose of assisting in ��e processing of diseased elm wood
at the Pig's Eye Lake Wood Recycling Center facility, now therefore be it
RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby authorizes the proper
city officials to execute a purchase agreement with International Harvester Co. for
the aforesaid equipment.
