WHEREAS, The City of Saint Paul will incur certain costs in regard to Sewer Service In
1980, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works estimates these costs as follows:
Estimated Sewer Service Costs
Metropolitan Waste Control Commission Charge $ 7,953,479.�3
Debt Payment Credit Deducted from MWCC Charge 9�+,925.00
Public Works Sewer Administrative and Maintenance 1 ,960,490.00
Water Department Billing Costs 260,000.00
Implementing Improved Refund Procedure 400,000.00
TOTAL $� 8,�894.03
RESOLVED, That pursuant to Section 231 .02 of the Saint Pau) Legislative Code pertaining to
Sewer Service Charges (as amended by Ordinance No. 14662, approved December l , 1970) and
upon the recommendation of the City Administration, the Council of the City of Saint Paul
does hereby establish the amount and basis for Sewer Service Charges to be )evied and
collected during the year 1980. The rate shall apply to all sewer service bills rendered
by the City from and �fter January 1 , 19�0. The rate shall be:
t . $0.69 per 100 cu. ft. for the first 100,000 cu, ft.
$0.665 per 100 cu. ft. for the next 20�,000 cu. ft.
$0.635 per 100 cu. ft. for the next 200,000 cu. ft.
$0.60 per 100 cu. ft. for the next 500,000 cu. ft.
$0.57 pe r 100 cu. ft. for all over 1 ,000,000 cu. ft.
2. The minimum charges for praperties served by sewers during the year 1y80
shall be based upon wat�r meter sizes and in the amounts as follows:

or less, the Sewer Service Rate Charge for the first quarterly statement rendered by the
City for 1980 shall be the rate to be charged the same property for the remaining quarters
of the yea r 1980.
FINALLY RESOLUED, That the receipts derived from the above rates be used for estimated Sewer
Service Costs.
