The Department of Public Works asked that the Office of Human itesources create the proposed City Engineer
unclassified position. This resolution established the rate of compensarion for that new position. The proposed
position was studied using the City's QES job evaluation system. The study revealed that the duries and
responsibilities of the City Engineer position would place it in grade 34 of the Nonrepresented City Managers
Salary Schedule. This pay rate would go into effect the first pay period following, passage, and approval of the
this resolurion which should accompany the ordinance establishing the City Engineer position in the unclassified
service. �
ADVANTAGES IF APPROVED: �
Equitable compensation commensurate with the 1eve1 of duties and responsibilities of the positions will be
established.
DISADVANTAGESIFAPPROVED:
