for Parking Lot Guard (Schools) in the Salary Plan and
Rates of Compensation Resolution.
RESOLVED, that the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation Resolution
be amended by striking out of Section II B where the title appears under the
heading "Special Employments" the following:
"Parking Lot Guard (Schools) $6. 00 an hour"
and by substituting in lieu thereof the following:
"Parking Lot Guard (Schools) $?. 50 an hour" .

Dear Mr. Gleason:
The current part-time hourly salary for TVI Parking Lot Guards is $6. The
rate of pay for this job classification is based upon a beginning rate of a
St. Paul police patrolman. This rate has been maintained since about 1972.
The rate requires updating to conform to current salaries for the position.
I, therefore, request that effective July 1 , 1979, the pay for these posi-
tion holders be increased from $6 to $7.50 per hour.
As we discussed the other night, there will be no problem with this; there
are funds in the TVI budget to cover this cost.
