Grant authorized at September 21 , 1979 Board of Directors meeting. Amount of grant: $280,000. The �rogram activities s�pported by PJorthwest Area Foundation funds will conunence October 1 , 1979 and will end September 30, 1980. Foundation func+ing will conunence- on or about October l , a979 with a grant payment of $50,000. Succeeding payments will be made on or about the first of each month as follows, contingent upon receipt of valid reports: November 1979 - $30,000 May 1980 - $15,714 December 1979 - - $30,000 June 1980 - $15,714 ' January 1980 - $30,000 July 1980 - $15,714 February 19�0 - $30,000 August 1980 - $15,714 March 1980 - $15,716 September 1980 -. $15,714 Apr�1 1980 - $15,714 PROGRESS REPORTS � Progress Reports should describe the projects developments ar�d problems encountered to date. FINr�NCIAL REPORTS Detailed grant expenditure reports will be submitted semiannually as fallows: April l , 1980� The final Financial �eport will be submitted at the conclusion of the project on October 1 , 1980. Grantor agrees to make the following grant, and Grantee agrees to . accept such grant, in accordan�e with the terr� and conditions hereinafter set forth. , 1. AMOUNT APlU 7ERMS OF THE GRA(VT. Tne ari�ount af the grant and terms of payment shall be as stated in the SUMMARY QF GRANT AGREEMENT attached hereto ' and hereby made a par� hereof� . 2. SPECIFIC PUR�OSES OF THE GRANT. The qrant shal) be used solely for, and expended in the manner and over the period of time, descri:bed in the grant application dated August 31 , 1979 . Grantee agrees to notify Grantor of and obtain its consent to, any substantial deviatians from said grant application. � 3< RECORD KEEPING. ACTIONS AGAINST GRANTEE. Grantee agrees that it will immediately � notify Grantor of any lawsuit, or any p►roce2dir�g before any federal , state, , ar local administrative agency, which may be ir�itiated against it, including ` (but not limited to) any proceeding agairrst the Grantee which might affiect its tax-ex�mpt status under federal or state law and any proceeding which might affect its status as "not a private foundation." � �. TERMINATION. This Agreement may be ter•mi nated at any time b�r � mutual agreement i n wri ting. Grantor alsa reserves the ri ght, as ta any money� i ; not yet paid under this Agreement, �o withhold payn�ent if (a) Grantee fails �a � { ? submit to it any re�aort or reports required hereunder, or (b) if it shall ' learn ' that Grantee's tax-exempt status is tentatively or finally withdrawn or � suspended by federal or state authority. Said withheld payn�ent or� payments ' may be liter releaseci, hut only in the discretion of Grantor. Upon any final � ; termination of this Agreement, Grantee shall promptly upon request of Grantors repay to Granto�r all unexpended grant funds , and Grantee shall not �e enti�led � to any furhter funds w�uer this grant. � � 9.
