273833 WHITE - C�TV CLERK ��^^� PINK - FINANCE V�� Council i� � CANARV - DEPARTMENT GITY OF SAINT PAUL � File NO. i `•��• BLUE - MAVOR � - � ; Council Resolution , .� , � Presented By Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in aceordance with Ordina.nce No. 15311, and following the public heaxin� held on Maxch 30, 1979, did adopt a Resolutian, Council File No. 272705, establishing the level of street ma,intenance service to be performed in the City of Saint Paul, and the estimated amount of service ch�xges to be levied against benefited property, the work to be performed in 19'79, and the charges to be collected with the regular taxes in 1980; and WI�REAS, the Department of Public Works ha.s performed the approved stre�t maintenance work and submitted its report together with the total cost of street maintenance in the amount of $�+,415,000.00; and Wi�REAS, the City Council, by Resolution, Council File No. 272705, determined that the City shall pay the sum of $1,221,000.00 of the street maintenance costs from: l�unicipal State Aid $6�+7,000, Trunk H3ghway Maintenance Aid $228,000 and County Aid $3�+6,000 and that the remaining amount of $3,194,000.00 shall be assessed against benefited properties, and further resolved, that a public heaxing be held in the Council chambers on October 9 , 1979 for the purpose of adopting the service charges against all benefited properties; and W.I�RE�S, the Cowscil of the City of Saint Pau1 did hold a public hearing on October 9 , 1979 fox this purpose, and, having heaxd all intere�ted parties, does hereby adop e following service c}aaxge� in accordance with Chapter 14 of the City Chax�er and said Ordinance No. 15311, now, therefore, be it " RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby adopt and levy the follawing service chax�es as a special assessment against benefited prop�rties: Class I - Downtown - $1.13 per front foot. Class II - Outlying Commercial and Arterial Streets Commercial Property - $.77 per front foot. Residential Property - $.38 per front foot.
