Supervision Received: Works under the general administrative supervision of a unit head and/or the technical direction of a unit head or higher level technician. Supervision Exercised: None. � TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMID The listed examples may not include all duties performed by all positions in this class. Reviews plans for buildings which are of routine structural design and do not require complex mechanical systems; single family dwellings, low-rise ' multi-family buildings, small co�ercial buildings and accessory structures. Checks plans for compliance with zoning codes. Explains corrections needed in submitted plans to conform to the codes. Answers questions and receives comp�aints regarding building code regulations and violations from designers, builders and the general public. � Reviews building pei'mit applications. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Forty-five credit hours in courses leading to an associate degree in building inspection as offered by Inver Hills Community College or equivalent Ccertain courses may be substituted for those required for the basic building inspection associate degree; a list of such substitute courses is maintained in the Personnel Office); or one year of building plan review experience; or two years' experience in engineering or architectural design or housing rehabilitation work at the level of an Engineering Aide II.
