Voting Rights Amendment '' Y � For reasons of equal �ust3ce, democracy and representation, I am happq to co-author this resolution. A recently published Minnesota poll. indicated that 63� ,of the Minnesota citizens support this amendment to the United States Cons�itution. It is apparent that Minnesota is committed to human rights and the belief of Ameriean democracy. . To uphold this concept citizens of Washington, D.C. , should be abZe to participate in the formatian of national goals, policies and 1aw. By adopting this resolution the City Council supports the rights of Washington, D.C. , citizens and encourages the 1979 State Legislature to adopt and ratify the Voting Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
