DESCRIPTION OF WORK '
General Statement af Duties: Performs highly responsible professional work
providing staff assistance to an administrator in reviewing, analyzing
and coordinatinffi department programs and projects, directs special
pro�ects as assi�gned; performs .related duties as required.
Supervision Received: Works under the .general .technical and administrative
supervision of a .department .head.
Supervision ExerciSed: May exercise within the department general technical
supervision dir�ctly over assigned clerical workers.
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFO�I�D

Collects and analpzes planning, problem solving and program evalua.tion;
prepares report� and recommendations.
Provides .general or technical information regarding departmental functions
and policq to the public and state and local agencies; supplies infor-
� mation requested by the City Council, Mayor's Office and other City
departments.
Assists in developing long range plans for aepartmental programs and pro�ects.
Represents the dep�rtment at eo�ittee and civic group meetings.
� Directs special projects as assigned by the department head.
Discusses plans, grograms, objectives and procedures with division heads,
� and reports and', makes xecommendations to the department head.
Coordiaates and updates departmental program lists with division staff.

MINIMiJM QUALIFICATIONS
College graduatiom and six years` experience in program administration, at
