WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Pa,ul,
Minnesota requests that certain t� forfeited lands located in the City of Saint
Paul be conveyed to them for ren�wal purpose, pursuant to the provisions of M.S.A.
282.01, Subd. l; and
W�-IEREAS, the City Council of Sa,int Paul has no objection to the conveyance of
certain tax forfeited lands ta the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City
of Sairrt Paul; therefore, be it

Pur�uaat to you.r letCer of October 23�, 1978, the Staff of the various Divisions
of the Department of Planning � Economic Development has reviecoed the 41 parcels
of property in Saint Paul which forfeited to the State o£ Minnesota in I974
for non-papment of real estate taxes. We.,understand that the properties on Lhis
list have been approved for public sale under tlle terms and conditiions of City
of Saint Paul Council resolution Number 272�08 dated November 2, 1978 which
provides the City with the opportunity to consider property for public needs
and remove any property so needed from the sale list of the County Land
Co^�^:►i s s ioner.
W'e undarstand tnat the burden of maintainiag any real property withneld from
sale from speci£ic public purpose automatically becomes the responsibility
of the aperating agency in terms of property maintenance etc. Further,
w� understand that public use deeds or State tax title to the property must
b� sought for properties withheld from sale in this manner.
Accordingly we are requesting that the following properties be withheld from saZe
and that appropriate procedures be initiated to transfer title of these properties
to th.e Housing & Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Pau1 for renewal
purooses:
