' RPOSE 1�D RAT�Q�LE FOR `}TSIS ACTION:
This transfer is being mad"e to pay for telephone tines ibcated in and. fo�r
the use of Police and Fire personnel but funds fo� payment wer� budgeted
in the Depdrtment of Public Works in the past. This was con�istent wi�th
former operatirig practices when traffic signals and- police an�i fir� a�arms
were the res,pons,ibility of the same supervisor in PubTic Works. This "
transfer will ,reflect current conditions and will place the appropriations
in the activities served by the telephone lines.
The three departments affected by this change approve the praposed'transfer.
