273322 wMiTe - cirr c� COUIICII �����,� PINK - - FINAN � TF' �T � CANARV - DEPA TMENT G I Y OF SA I NT 1 A ll� L BI.UE - MAV R File NO• �.�At� � un ' Resolution Presented By � Referred o Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date RESOLUTION AUTIiORIZING REPAYMENT OF INTERIM EXPENDITURES FOR PROJECT COSTS FOR PURCHASE AND PREPARATION OF PARCEL 21-1, DISTRICT 17, HARKINS BOWLING ALLEY WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Rede- velopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota (HR�, on July 11, 1979, authorized its purchase of the Harkins Bowling Alley property, 67 East Eighth Street, from Sumanit National Bank for the sum of $325 ,000 , and further authorized additional expenditures for demolition, site preparation, appraisals and closing expenses, for a total of approximately $393,000 expenditure thereunder; and WHEREAS, interim funding for the project was provided by said HRA Board from its Tax Levy Fund, which funding may be repaid, subjec� .to the approval of this Council, from UDAG construction loan funds from the Brown and Bigelow project, which funds are expected to be available for this purpose on or after October 1, 1979. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that expendittzres made by the HRA for the purchase, demolition, site preparation and such other activities as are necessary preliminary to redevelopment of Parcel 21-1, District 17, 67 East Eighth Street, which will be provided on an interim basis from HRA tax levy funds , shall be repaid on or after October 1, 1979 out of funds available to the City of Saint Paul from the UDAG construction loan from the Bro�n and Bigelow project.
