Byrne MA'fOR'S OFFICE nity Attorney DATE: June 26, 1979 Attached is the amendment to the ordinance prohibiting alco- holic beverages in the parks. It will make clear that there is no ban on transporting liquor on city streets or through parks when you are just going through the parks. None of the related suggestions of Bob Piram are incorporated in this ordinance, and he is going to work with you to fashion ea3 those. There may be questions from the police department about some of those other changes. 2 don't know which city department should formally be listed as the one requesting the ordinance, but it could be the City Attorney, Community Services, the Police Department o the Office of the Mayor. Take your pick.
