Also, sanitary sewer in California Avenue from Payne Avenue to Greenbrier Street. � Also, construction of sewer and water service connections. The costs arising from these projects are to be assessed against abutting property owners. It is my feeling that the property owned by Mount Zion Hebrew Conp,regatioci which abuts California Avenue will be substantially benefited by ttiese proposed improvements. It is also my understanding that the Congregation may be selling Ghis property to a developer in the near future. � .. Therefore, in order to protect the City's interests in this matter, and before setting a public hearing, I would like to have an assurance, in writin�, from the Cemetery Association stating that said Cem�tery • Associarion w�ll not ob;eci: to �hese assessnients on the basis of �he � land involved being a platted cemetery. Because the expense of such assessments could be a burden on the cemetary if the property is ._not promptly developed, we should like to have an opportunity, before bids are re- quested for the work, to request a "hold" on the project. We doubt this will be necessary, but cannot be absolutely certain of our plans for the property at this time. This letter will guarantee the City that the cost of engineering, hearings and applicatiorl fees r_ecessury to proceed up to the construction point will be paid by us.
