WHEREAS , the energy crisis continues and affects the residents of
this city, and
WHEREAS , individuals are taking steps to conserve energy and cut
fuel bills , and
WHEREAS , a great number of products and techniques are available
to help people conserve, and
WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Pride and Maintenance Program and
District Six Planning Council are sponsoring an Energy Awareness
Fair on October 20 at Washington Junior High School ,
BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of St. Paul supports the efforts
of those planning the Energy Awareness Fair and urges attendance
by residents , and
-�- BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council encourages agencies ,
businesses , and other organizations to help through funding ,
exhibiting , and participation in the fair.
