' Co�ncil Resolution Presented By Referred To Committee: Date Out of Committee By Date BE IT RESOLVED: That a fifteen member Housing Task Force be established made up of representatives from city government, the private sector, social service agencies, providers of emergency housing, representatives from other governmental agencies, and other members as ma.y be needed. In order to expedite the work of this task force, its members may be chosen without the customary reliance on the city's early notification system. A public notice shall be posted in the local newspaper advertising that openings for the task force exist. This task force shall: l. Explore the extent of the problem of affordable housing for low and moderate income people and people needing special housing assistance; 2. Explore the availability of assistance from metropolitan, state, and federal government agencies, local foundations, social service agencies, city departments and agencies, and the private sector; 3. Review existing city policies and programs to determine if changes are needed; �., 4. Recommend to the Mayor and City Council, by January 1, 1980, possible short- and long-term methods to deal with the housing problems identified by the Task Force.
