OCTOBER 6 THRU 13, 1979
August 24, 1979
Dear Members of the Twin Cities Press:
On behalf of the City of St. Paul , I would like to encourage your active
participation in the 125th Anniversary Celebration.of the incorporation
of the City of St. Paul .
The historic celebration will be held October 6-13 with fun-filled
activities planned throughout St. Paul to promote the pride and identity .
of local citizens, neighborhoods, businesses, aaencies and organizations.
We feel that this one-time anniversary event requires substantially more
effort from all areas of_ the media and should not be categorized with
Winter Carnival and Acquatennial in importance.
To make this a memorable event, we need your support. It is extremely
important that promotion of these activities take place through feature
stories, personality interviews, public service announcements and other
ideas you feel are necessary to promote the 125th Anniversary Celebration.
Enclosed you will find a general news release announcing the celebration
as well as a list of scheduled events, to date, and possible feature
story ideas.
If you have any questions regarding the Birthday Celebration, please feel
free to contact Vicky Leibson, Publicity and Promotion Chairperson at
335-6621 , or Dick Taylor, Coordinator, at the celebration headquarters,
222-0704.
Join in and support St. Paul 's 125th Anniversary Celebration:
Sincerely,

JER ISAACS
